John Roberge founded Roberge Associates Coastal Engineers, LLC (RACE) (formerly named John C. Roberge, PE, LLC) in 1999.  Mr. Roberge brings over 38 years of experience in coastal and hydraulic engineering experience to the RACE team.  He maintains significant expertise in coastal processes and modelling and has authored several publications related to this technology.  In addition, Mr. Roberge has performed extensive wave climatology studies using both physical wave tank tests and computer applications.

Devin J. Santa, PE, SECB, Principal

Devin Santa joined John Roberge in 2001 as a Structural Engineer and Project Manager.  In 2004 Mr. Santa became a Partner and Principal in the company.  Mr. Santa has over 15 years of experience in marine structural engineering and site investigations.  In addition to his role as a company Principal, Mr. Santa serves as Project Manager on many RACE projects.  Mr. Santa is able to utilize his extensive maritime experience gained as a USCG Licensed Captain to assist clients in the improvement and optimization of their waterfront facilities.  Mr. Santa is also certified by the American Congress of Surveying and Mapping as a Hydrographer and all of RACE's hydrographic survey operations are performed under his direction.

Tim DeBartolomeo, PE, SECB, Manager of Structural Engineering

Tim DeBartolomeo provides over 22 years of experience in structural engineering and the design of waterfront structures to his position of Manager of Structural Engineering. In this position, Mr. DeBartolomeo is responsible for the development and implementation of design standards, preparation and review of structural design calculations and drawings, and Client relations. Mr. DeBartolomeo is equally capable of performing the design of large scale port facilities, such as bulkheads, fender systems, and commercial piers, as well as smaller scale residential and yacht club structural improvements.  Mr. DeBartolomeo also has extensive experience in providing professional engineering services during the construction phase of the project.
