The topics of this three day seminar included; planning, design, and Construction of Modern Marina Facilities, Environmental Impacts, Permits, and Regulatory Compliance, Breakwaters and Wave Attenuators; Coastal and Waterfront Engineering. | ||
| 05/01/2011 Cummings Park Pier - Stamford, CT | ||
| Construction has been completed on the Cummings Park Pier. This 450' long pier provides public access for fishing and passive recreation for the City of Stamford. RACE has enjoyed working with the City on this project. RACE provided both design and construction phase services to the City for this project. | RACE is pleased to announce the addition of Tim DeBartolomeo, PE and Matt Taverna, EIT to our staff.
Tim DeBartolomeo brings over 22 year of structural engineering expertise to his position of Manager of Structural Engineering / Project Manager. Tim’s experience ranges from large scale commercial port development projects including, sheet pile bulkhead installation, wharf rehabilitation, and fender system design, to smaller residential projects. Tim is also certified in the practice of structural engineering by the Structural Engineering Certification Board (SECB). Matt Taverna has over 5 years of experience in waterfront structural engineering. Matt has performed designs of coastal structures in timber, steel, and concrete. Matt has also prepared regulatory permit applications for Clients throughout New England. Matt has performed detailed hydrographic surveys and volume calculations in support of dredging projects throughout the country. |

| 01/10/2009 Town of Greenwich Engineering Services | ||
| RACE is excited to have been awarded the contract for Marine Consulting and Engineering Services for the Town of Greenwich, CT. Under this contract, RACE will work closely with representatives of the Town's Parks and Recreation Department to provide engineering support at numerous Town owned marinas and public waterfront facilities. Initial projects include bulkhead replacement, boat ramp construction, and public access pier inspection. RACE is looking forward to working with the Town on maintaining and improving these important and unique public facilities. |
